Get ready to set your faces to stunned, readers: an international EDM festival brand is launching a Shanghai edition. Yes, finally!
Coming a few hours after EDM behemoth Ultra confirmed that it'll be returning to Shanghai later this year (and will be throwing a Beijing edition in June), Daydream Festival
has released it's 'phase one' line-up with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Yellow Claw, and Lost Frequencies among the initial headliners.
The Belgium-founded fest will be held in the park near Disneyland that Storm took place in last year. Their original statement promised 'beloved hipster artists and bands', but so far the names announced are all in the EDM realm, with Modestep, Mesto, Excision, Moksi, Mattn, Protohype, Downlink, Dubloadz, Phase One (who had to be in the 'phase one' line-up really), Snavs, Dodge & Fuski, T-Mass, Truth, Seek & Destroy, and Zomboy confirmed on the bill.
If those names mean something to you, then you'll probably want to know that the first round of tickets are due to go on sale today (Friday 9 March). Because no one can call them 'pre-sale' or 'early-bird' any more, they're being dubbed 'Super Early Dream Tickets'; those'll cost you 680RMB for two days, so a little cheaper than edc, taking place a fortnight later. Keep an eye on Time Out Tickets for more details.
