Tickets now available for Shanghai's biggest jazz fest

JZ Festival is back with three days of jazz, bebop, bossa nova and more this September

The JZ Festival is the largest jazz festival in China and one of the largest in Asia – this year marks its fifteenth, this time taking place at MAXUS in the Disney Complex out in Pudong. The event runs for three days (from Friday 13 until Saturday 15 September) and will attract some of the best jazz musicians from around the world, who will play everything from acid jazz and bossa nova to jazz-funk and ragtime.

Highlights include the Al Mckay All Stars’ Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, with all the hits from the band of the same name. Also on the roster is Grammy Award-winning singer Lalah Hathaway, known for her ability to sing more than one note at the same time. Other big names include Marcus Miller, whose repertoire spans decades, and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw.
