Lots going on on the gig front this weekend, but before we dive into that, it's worth flagging up that this Saturday is Record Store Day
. Shanghai's vinyl merchants are putting aside their petty scraps over who has the best Billy Joel collection for a few hours to unite in the Uptown basement for what is said to be 'the largest Record Store Day market in China
'. Co-hosted by Uptown and Daily Vinyl, the market will feature a presence from four other physical shops from around Shanghai, plus one from Wuhan, and more than 20 vendors in total. Lots of vinyl fun to be had down on Pingwu Lu basically.
As for things on the live front, well we have fantastic Danish electro-pop singer Lydmor back in town with her Shanghai-inspired new album and an electric live show, catchy Japanese pop-rock act Hitorie, and three nights of some dude called Bruno Mars.
