Twice per year, fashion influencers, buyers and editors from around the globe flock to Shanghai to check out the city's burgeoning style scene. As Shanghai businesses continue to face closures and cancellations, some of the latest news will affect the big tent over in Xintiandi. Organisers behind Shanghai Fashion Week (SHFW) announced that its AW 2020 events will be postponed until further notice. The week-long event was scheduled to kick off on March 26.

In a post on its official WeChat account, the Shanghai Fashion Week organising committee says it's actively looking for suitable times and methods to reschedule. SHFW also says its maintaining close communication with its partners who support Shanghai fashion businesses and our city's brilliant designers, while paying close attention to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.

Organisers behind China Fashion Week, the country's other major fashion event which takes place in Beijing and was scheduled to start on March 25, have also announced that it will be postponed until further notice.
