Put on a blue T-shirt and work up a sweat to support a good cause. Each year, the non-profit organisation Rotaract Club of Shanghai (RACS) organises Run in Blue, a 5k charity run that supports different causes related to children's wellbeing and education. This is RACS' seventh run, and this year it’s supporting children with leukaemia through the New Sunshine Charity Foundation.

Children with leukaemia or other types of cancer can’t attend regular school during their treatment, which can destroy a student's chance of academic achievement and self-confidence. New Sunshine Charity Foundation fills this gap by providing volunteer-taught classes and enhancement activities to hospitalised children with leukaemia.

The run takes place on Saturday 23 from 9.30am to 1pm at Shangde Experimental School, and there will be activities afterward like yoga, boxing and dance classes. Tickets go for 85RMB and up (includes a blue T-shirt) – all proceeds will go directly to New Sunshine. To participate, click here.
