Shanghai Supperclub is celebrating its five-year anniversary this coming weekend, paying tribute to Shanghainese fashion and cuisine circa 1930 with a Badlands themed party. The decade was characterised by insane wealth, pomp and unabashed vice and we have a pair of tickets to give away – all-inclusive of food and drink – so you can experience the aura of old Shanghai and 'the Paris of the East' first-hand.
(that's French for fancy party) will take place at three-storey mansion and private members' club One Xintiandi
on Sat 27. The dress code is intended to keep as true to the theme as possible. Gentlemen of the day wore classic evening suits and white dinner jackets with black ties and trousers. Ladies, of course, rocked the qipao –
an iconic tight-fitting silk dress with distinctive Chinese designs.
Xixi Bistro will be serving up the food, think Chinese classics in an old-meets-new fashion, and there will be a list of themed cocktails brought to you by Summergate Fine Wine and Sprits. Craft Republic will also be debuting two new libations at the event – 'libations' is 1930s for 'drinks,' by the way.
For a chance to win a pair of tickets, scan the QR code below to follow the official Time Out Shanghai WeChat account (ID: timeoutshanghaieng) and send us a message saying ‘I want to win: Badlands’ with your name, mobile number and WeChat ID. The competition closes Friday 26 at 10am.
