“THE LIQUID CITY” BROUGHT BAR CHAM TO W SUZHOU FOR A CELEBRATION OF COCKTAIL CRAFT AND DESTINATION CULTURE

Bringing Together Visiting and Resident Mixologists, “The Liquid City” Celebrated the Spirit, Flavours and Stories of the Destination

Celebrating the distinct stories, local flavours, and character that define iconic destinations, Luxury Group by Marriott International presented “The Liquid City,” the latest chapter of “The Culinary Atelier”—a bar takeover series spanning ten luxury hotels across Greater China. As part of the campaign, W Suzhou partnered with Bar Cham to unveil a limited-edition cocktail menu co-created by visiting and resident mixologists—offering guests a refined liquid tribute to the culture and spirit of Suzhou.

On August 26, 2026, W Suzhou hosted an exclusive one-night guest shift featuring Hwi Yun, the mixologist of Bar Cham (Ranked No. 33 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars).

The bespoke menu featured 4 handcrafted cocktails—combining signature favorites from Bar Cham alongside exclusive city specials inspired by Suzhou’s Ancient Grand Canal. Guests could also enjoy up to 4 elevated bar bite pairings designed by the hotel’s culinary team, including Mini Suzhou Style Crab Shell Croissant.

Bringing together visiting masters and resident mixologists, each takeover delivered bespoke liquid creations inspired by native traditions, regional ingredients, and authentic local stories.
